Active Donor Funded Projects at CESAAM

The Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Agriculture and Agribusiness Management (CESAAM) at Egerton University has successfully attracted a total of $4.2 million through a diverse portfolio of funded projects, playing a vital role in transforming agricultural education, research, and innovation across Africa. These funds were instrumental in supporting postgraduate training, faculty development, industry engagement, infrastructure enhancement, and regional collaboration. While most project funding cycles concluded in 2024, CESAAM’s impact continues through the institutionalization of research outputs, integration of developed curricula into academic programs, strengthened international partnerships, and operationalization of innovation hubs. These sustainable strategies ensure that the benefits of the projects live beyond their funding timelines, continuing to build capacity, enhance livelihoods, and position Egerton University as a hub for agricultural excellence in the region.
